CBC Video - Warming West Coast Waters Link

What is the video about?
  • water temperature change (it’s getting warmer = 3 degrees warmer) in the Pacific Ocean on the west coast of North America. It’s the highest temperature in recorded history.
  • nobody knows why.
  • it’s good for some species and bad for others.
  • Galapagos Turtle, Blue Shark, sardines, tuna, salmon, Mahi Mahi which is a fish normally found in Hawaii that was found in Oregon.
  • it affects the weather: Eastern Canada gets more snow, West Coast is dry and no storms or snow, California is having a drought.
  • ocean currents, which are like rivers in the ocean.
