• Is your country’s economy doing well?

= In general the economy is doing well.

= It’s still improving / growing.

= Because of the large population, there aren’t enough natural resources such as water for people in poor areas.

= Parts of China still have problems with poverty.

= The north east part of China is the richest part. / has the best economy.

= Comparing imports and exports, we have a surplus.

= The suicide rate is the highest in Asia, because the economy in Korea is not good.

= Since the financial crisis that began in the US, Korea’s economy hasn’t been doing well.

= For the last 10 or 20 years, I think the economy has been stable. This is because the main part of our economy is oil, so I don’t think oil is flexible in the way that some people might need it.

= The GDP has been slightly downward during the current year, 2014. Additionally, our economy has huge fluctuations in the currency exchange rate. As well, / In addition imports dominate exports.
